In the year 1983, started in mumbai market with first product Agar Agar China Grass Strips. After the graduation Mr. Juzer Nagree started the business to run the day to day expenses and expenses for further studies. With limited capital and resources the enterprise was run with single handedly against the giant competitions in the market where big fishes were always ready to eat away the small ones.
Shortly but surely, with strong determination and long term planning more and more products were introduced as per the market demand under Bright Star brand. Jelly crystals, Instant China Grass, Custard powder, baking powder etc. to name a few. The main key to success was to keep the buyers choice and requirements in mind with best quality, good packaging, service and most reasonable prices.
We emphasize on Research. and Development (R & D) as we believe to be ‘in tune with time’. At regular intervals, new attractive packaging and other changes are introduced. We always welcome the feedbacks, suggestions and complaints from all our customers regularly.

Now, Bright Star brand is spread in Mumbai and mainly to Western India in national market. Meanwhile the demand started from International Market and business started through the exporters.
In the year 1992, a separate division started in the name of “UNIVERSAL EXPORTS”.
Mr. Juzer Nagree the Proprietor initially started with food products in Bright Star and American Chef brand. Support from importers encouraged him to start exports of many other products, namely, sanitaryware, brass hardware, roofing and flooring tiles, chemicals, textiles, etc.
We are proud to say that Universal Exports not only succeeded in healthy exports but also helped many individuals to export their products and to create their own company and future.
